1st Aqua Tutu 2007 Very first tutu from 2007 made for my then 6 year old daughter. Aqua satin bodice and basque with an aqua net skirt. The bodice was edged with aqua strung beads and embellished with crystal rhinestones, and a spotty net top layer was added to the skirt. Pink Tutu 2007

Tiny pink tutu from 2007, made for a 5 year old. Pink satin bodice with venise lace decoration and silver and crystal trim. Pink and white net skirt with pink petal overlay. Not quite the world's pinkest tutu (that came later!) , but not far off!

Royal Blue Tutu 2007 Royal blue and fuschia tutu from 2007, made for a 12 year old. Royal blue/fuschia shot silk dupion bodice decorated with gold lace trim embellished with gold, fuschia, and sapphire blue swarovski crystals. Petal overlay and white net skirt. Lemon Tutu 2007 Lemon tutu from 2007, made for a 15 year old - my brief was "lemon and white, no gold, no bling!" Lemon silk dupion bodice with nude insert and pearl appliques. White pleated net skirt with lemon overlay decorated with white venise lace edging and appliques to match the bodice.

Aqua & White Tutu 2008

Aqua & white tutu from 2008.

Smoky aqua silk dupion bodice with an iced aqua panel, beaded applique and aqua crystals. The pennant overlays on the skirt tied the colour scheme together.

Cream Tutu 2008

Cream tutu from 2008.

This was a bodice that I made and decorated as a sample which turned out prettier than expected, so was turned into a tutu and sold on ebay.

Cream Tutu 2009

Cream tutu from 2009.

This was made to order for a nine year old who wanted 'pretty and girly but not frilly or fussy'. Ivory duchesse satin bodice and basque with gold machine embroidery and crystal embellishment.

Apple Green Tutu 2009

Apple green tutu from 2009.

Made for an eight year old, apple green silk dupion bodice with satin brocade inset, green ribbon lacing, some venise lace and a sprinkling of silver crystals.

Cream Tutu 2009

Pretty Cream Tutu, 2009.

This was made to order for a dancer who wanted a girly look. The bodice and basque are in ivory duchesse satin, the decoration uses tulle with gold embroidery to both the bodice and skirt and a sprinkling of gold crystals to add sparkle.

Cream Tutu 2009

Green/Turquoise Tutu, 2009.

The design of this bodice was intended to give shape and definition. The fabric used was a deep green silk dupion with a turquoise crossweave, that would shade and change under the stage lights without being too shiny. Gold venise lace along with gold and green rhinestones completed the bodice, over a nine layer ivory skirt with hand pleated top layers.

Blue Tutu 2009

Black Tutu, 2009.

My first ever black tutu! Made for a dancer who is soon to compete at the All England Finals in London (Good Luck!!!) the black silk dupion bodice is decorated using 588 hand placed swarovski crystals which have amazing sparkle under the lights - it was quite difficult to photograph. The black net skirt has jet rhinestones scattered into the hand pleated top layer.

Blue Tutu 2009

Dewberry Tutu, 2009.

This was made to order for a thirteen year old dancer, in a pretty silk dupion with a two tone frosted purple/blue effect. It is decorated with silver machine embroidered scroll appliques and embellished with a scattering of crystals to add sparkle. The white bodice panel echoes the colour of the white net skirt, and the shape of the silk overlay which is decorated to match the bodice.
